FAQs
Your questions answered…
(And if they’re not, drop us an email or give us a ring!)
Who can play?
If you’re eight or older and in good health, you’re all set. Players aged 6 or 7 can also play when accompanied by a playing adult. The woodland environment isn’t wheelchair friendly, but please get in touch if you have any special requirements and we’ll do our best to help you have a great experience.
What should I wear?
We recommend long trousers and tops, boots or old trainers. Avoid flip flops and open toe footwear. Other than that, dress for the weather.
What should I bring?
Plenty of water. It’s thirsty work being deadly…
Can I play for longer than an hour?
If you book two sessions back-to-back, you’ll get a 30 minute break in between to catch your breath.
Is there car parking?
There is parking for hundreds of cars at Anglian Water’s car parks. Our Grafham arenas are 250m away and our Rutland arenas 400m away from the edge of the car parks. Anglian Water car parking charges apply. Your walk to the our arenas will be shortest if you park at the far end of the car park (the furthest end from the entrance). From there, follow the signs.
Are there loos?
There are loos at the Visitors’ Centre which is close to the entrance of the car park. They’re a 5 (Rutland) or 10 (Grafham) minute walk from our arenas, so you may want to visit them before you join us.
How do I discuss my requirements for a group booking?
Simply give us a ring on 07470 892307 or email us at ask@rumblelive.co.uk and we’d be happy to talk through the options.
What else can we do at Grafham Water and Rutland Water?
Why not hire a bike from Rutland Cycling and do a lap of the reservoir? You could also check out the sailing club who offer taster sessions, or watersports at the Grafham Water Centre or Rutland Watersports. In the Summer there’s a fantastic Aqua Park at Rutland Water too – great to cool off after your Rumble missions!
Where’s a good place to eat nearby?
There are some fabulous places locally to have a meal afterwards where you can share war stories. At Grafham Water, a Rumble Ranger favourite is the Wheatsheaf across the Water in nearby Perry and The Mermaid in Ellington, they both offer great food and a warm welcome.
At Rutland Water, there are several cafes around the reservoir while the White Horse in nearby Empingham is a great pub option

Despite the weather it was a blast! Flush faced children ran about having fun! Booking was easy, facilities were great and a wonderful birthday was had by our son and his friends. Wonderful location too. Highly recommend.

After playing the first round I instantly loved it. Even us adults who were expecting to be bored in a children's game, ended up having a great time and all want to go again and for the price we will certainly be going back. The staff were amazing, we would highly recommend a visit.

“Our team came to Rumble Live at Rutland Water on the 7th June 2023. Every person had a brilliant time, and went away full of energy and laughing. The Rangers on the day were fantastic – guiding us through the games, and making sure we all had a good time. We played 5 rounds in total, each game was different. I would highly recommend this as a corporate team-building event, and would definitely do it again. In fact, several of the team who live locally are already talking about whether we could organise a big enough group to come back in our own time!”
